Kokomo Municipal Stadium to host charity softball game between Police and Firefighters

Members of the Kokomo Police and Fire Departments will face off in a charity softball game at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.

The game will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, and admission is free.

“The women and men of the Kokomo Police and Fire Departments have organized a great free event at Kokomo Municipal Stadium to benefit two worthwhile charities,” said Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight.  “I hope everyone will come out to enjoy the stadium and softball game to support the Hopebridge Children’s Foundation and Cops for Kids.”

The Umbrella Bar and Porky’s BBQ will be open inside the stadium with limited concessions for this special event. Raffle tickets will be sold for chances to win Kokomo Jackrabbits merchandise.

Proceeds from concession sales and raffle will benefit two local charities, the Hopebridge Children’s Foundation and Cops for Kids.

About the charities:  The Hopebridge Children’s Foundation provides scholarship funds and important inclusion opportunities for children with developmental delays and disabilities. Cops for Kids is a program sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police which provides disadvantaged children with presents at Christmas.
