Northwest Park inducted into National Softball Association Indiana Hall of Fame; Softball complex wins national award for sixth consecutive year

Kokomo’s Northwest Park was inducted into National Softball Association (NSA) Indiana Hall of Fame during ceremonies on Saturday, Nov.14 at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City.  During the same ceremony, Northwest Park was also named “Indiana Park of the Year” for the second time.

“Northwest Park is consistently recognized as one of the top facilities for softball in the country,” said Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight. “Having a high quality softball complex not only improves quality of life for our residents but it is also a driving force in tourism. Northwest Park draws thousands of players from out of town each year. I want to thank our outstanding park staff for helping make this happen.”

In addition to the state award, Northwest Park was awarded “Outstanding Park” for the sixth consecutive year at the NSA National Convention. The park also shares the distinction with Lexington, KY as one of two rotating sites for the NSA Women’s Slow Pitch World Series.
