Community Prayer & Action Breakfast; Faith and Community in Action honoree to be announced

Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight and the Howard County Ministerial Association will host the Community Prayer and Action Breakfast beginning at 6:30 a.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Kokomo Senior Citizens Center, 721 W. Superior St.

“As we start the new year, it is appropriate for the community to come together for reflection and guidance,” said Mayor Goodnight. “The Prayer and Action Breakfast is an uplifting event the entire community looks forward to each year.”

This annual, interdenominational service will join civic and religious leaders who will offer prayers of intercession for elected officials, police, firefighters, and educators, leaders of the labor, business and medical communities as well as spiritual leaders.

The mayor will also present the annual Faith and Community in Action Award.  The award honors spiritually based individuals or groups who contribute, through their time and talent, in making a positive difference in our community.

The Ministerial Association will accept freewill donations at the door. Breakfast muffins, fresh fruit as well as coffee and juice will be available.
