Mayor Greg Goodnight will be the guest speaker at Conexus Indiana’s Central Region Logistic Council (CRLC) meeting on Sept. 19 in Indianapolis.
Goodnight was invited to speak to the Council about infrastructure needs at the local level. Conexus Indiana is a private sector-led initiative that focuses on advanced manufacturing and logistics.
Conexus Indiana created the CRLC for executives in the industry to explore short- and long-term issues, opportunities and obstacles to growth in their businesses, and to develop strategies to ensure Indiana remains a logistics leader. The CRLC is comprised of approximately 70 business leaders within 28 counties in Central Indiana.
“We have made modernizing our streets a priority,” said Goodnight. “The best way we have accomplished that is through our road diets and improvements to related walking infrastructure.”
The Indiana counties within the Central Region are Boone, Brown, Clinton, Delaware, Fayette, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Union, Vermillion and Wayne.
