Job opportunity: Utility Locator

The job duties for this position include but are not limited to: physically locating existing city-owned utilities pursuant to the state’s underground utility locate service; assisting residents and utility companies with identifying and avoiding city-owned underground utilities; reviewing and approving street cut permits; and other various duties in and out of the office as required.
Qualified applicants must possess a valid Indiana Driver’s License; a general understanding of municipal sewer systems; general computer experience, including using the world wide web, email, and basic mapping software; along with good written and verbal communication skills; and must possess the ability to organize work, set priorities, and multi-task.
