How We Serve You:
Public Maintenance and Refuse has the responsibility of maintaining city streets and the public right-of-way, limb and tree pickup (see details below for more information), garbage pickup snow removal. The City collects large items once a week, on your regularly-scheduled collection day only. You must have the large item at your pickup location by 7 a.m. the morning of your regularly-scheduled collection day. Large items include: one large item of furniture per week. Due to Indiana law we cannot pick up televisions.

General Information:
Limb Pickup:
Limbs are collected on a rotation basis, starting that the most Southern part of the City Limits working their (limb crews) way to the north and then returning to the south etc. Tree branches, brush, plant stalks and shrubs of not more than four inches of diameter which are cut up into no more than three-foot lengths and bound into bundles of no more than 50 pounds; and other items having a volume or more than one cubic yard.
Leaf Collection:
The City collects leaves four times a season. However the City does not collect bagged leaves at that time.  Other times of the year bagged leaves are collected when trash is picked-up.

The City conducts its normal trash routes on all major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. If your collection day falls on a holiday, you must have your tote set out as normal, or it will not be collected until the following week.

Curbside Recycling
On Dec. 7, 2015, the City of Kokomo initiated its curbside recycling program with biweekly collection. Each single family residence will be issued a blue, 96-gallon recycling tote, which will be collected in the same manner as the current trash totes.
