Leevi Combs Wins Mayor's 2017 Christmas Card Contest

Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight is pleased to announce that Leevi Combs of Boulevard Elementary is the first-place winner of the 2017 Mayor’s Christmas Card Contest.

Mayor Goodnight introduced Leevi along with each of the finalists during a press conference this morning at City Hall. Leevi’s design will be the official Christmas card of the mayor, and it will be sent to hundreds of individuals, including local, state and federal officials, as well as the U.S. President and  Vice President.

Leevi’s design features Santa Claus and his reindeer along with a large Christmas tree.

“I have enjoyed getting to select the Christmas card each year,” said Mayor Goodnight. “The contest highlights just how talented our local students are and it is a highlight of the season for me.”

The annual contest, open to all fourth grade students in Kokomo Schools, is a long-standing tradition between Kokomo Schools, Mayor’s office and the Kokomo Community Arts Commission.
